The Alliance Française de Perth will be holding its glamorousannual Bastille Day Ball at the Fremantle Sailing Club, on Saturday 12th July 2008. The Bastille Day Ball commemorates France’s national day.Since 1911 it has been an annual event for the Francophone and Francophile community of Perth and Western Australia.Everyone is welcome!
On this occasion, the president of the Alliance Française, Diana Warnock, has invited the Honorary French Consul, the Premier of WA and the leader of the Opposition. They will all deliver a short speech and a message from the French Ambassador to Australia will be read.
Each year this event continues to be a highlight on the Perth social calendar and is supported by many local businesses and international companies such as BNP Paribas, Captain Cook Cruises, l’Occitane en provence, Pernod Ricard Australia and Technip to name but a few.
The ball is a very entertaining evening for 300 guests, with live music by Lezami. The evening commences at 7:30 pm with champagne. A tantalizing French buffet prepared by the Fremantle Sailing Club will be followed by authentic French pâtisseries.
Many great prizes will be raffled throughout the evening, the first prize this year being two return tickets to Paris or Nice, sponsored by Emirates. Other prizes include French champagne, selections of wines, beauty products, meals in French restaurants and much more.
