An Afternoon with Robert Muchamore
Robert Muchamore was born in Islington in 1972. He still lives there, and works as a private investigator. He was inspired to create the CHERUB series by his nephews’ constant complaints about the lack of interesting books. Using his thirteen years of experience as a private investigator, Robert wrote the CHERUB series pumped with spy action to get them excited about reading. Robert has sold over a million copies of this hugely successful series and has numerous awards under his belt. CHERUB is the most secret branch of British Intelligence. Its agents are aged between ten and seventeen years, and are trained professionals with one essential advantage: adults never suspect that children are spying on them. They can gain access to areas and information adults could never do. The Cherub series has emerged as one of the top selling series for boys, due to the fast-paced action and adventure within the storylines. Each book features our hero James Adams, risking his life on top secret missions from going undercover in a jail to infiltrating a cult. The CHERUB series has been described as ‘punchy, exciting, glamorous and, what’s more, you’ll wish it was true’. |
