Central Carpet Court invites Balcatta students to enter the first ever Storybook Challenge, by submitting a story about what they love most about their community. The wiining student will win $1000 worth of books for their classroom, a reading mat and $250 worth of books for themself.

One of Perth's most vibrant and energetic Jazz vocalists, Libby Hammer along with  four leading  musicians from the Perth Jazz scene - Chris Foster- piano, Nick Abbey - double bass, Michael Perkins – drums and the very cool - but mysterious  'Mister Jazzman'  will introduce kids to the world of Jazz in a fun, interactive and intimate setting.  All you need to do is bring a cushion to sit on and be ready to have some fun while you learn about Jazz. The shows are pitched at an age range of around  4-7 years  old but children of all ages will be able to enjoy this event.
