Perth and Fremantle showcase a tremendous variety of cuisines from many countries in Europe and Asia as well as modern Australian and cafe-style.

Some restaurants offer superb views, while others are tucked away on a side street.

All restaurants provide tobacco smoke-free conditions for diners and most have a separate ventilated area for smokers.

Many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so check first. It's always best to book, particularly during busy periods.

Arirang PERTH
Korea has a rich + layered cultural history which spans back over 5000 years. At the heart of Korean culture lies its distinct cuisine. Korean meals not only taste different, but are also presented + consumed differently to the typical entrée-main-dessert format.
The standards of the traditional Korean meal are the bowl of rice, a bowl of light soup [optional], different sauces and condiments and finally a stupendously large selection of side dishes called bunchun, the most famous of which is kimchi-chinese cabbage pickled in a fiery hot chilli sauce, is the life line of Korea, without which Koreans would be helpless. Needless to say, Koreans would sell their latest Hyundai for a dish of well pickled kimchi… perhaps even their LG Television.
9Marys PERTH
Nine Mary's has instantly become the darling of Restaurant critics. Some hail it as setting a new benchmark in modern eating (West Australian May 2004) others see it as a coming of age in Indian food (Sunday Times May 2004.) No matter, the office fraternity have given it a huge thumbs up as the new lunch favorite and certainly Friday and Saturday nights are extremely busy with many making it the night's social activity.
However if it is superb traditional Indian food that you are desiring this is for you. Master of the kitchen Sid Grewal has been in the industry all his working life. Always working only with Indian chefs, Sid is constantly experimenting with new ingredients but always with the reverence of his birth rite. Bookings (+61) 89 226 4999
The Lucky Shag PERTH
The Lucky Shag Waterfront Bar takes it's name from the cormorant bird that is often seen on and around the river from the bar itself.
Word has it that when the owners were sat at the bar trying to decide upon a suitable name a shag swooped down into the water and emerged with two fishes, somebody immediately said "Gee that's a lucky shag !" , and the name was born.
Of course others tell a different story as to the origins of the name and we'll leave you to figure that one out !! The Lucky Shag Bar has grown in the last seven years from a small 30 – 40 person drinking hole that only the very few knew about to it's present size and known to a much larger amount of people and at the same time become a firm favourite of locals and tourists
