Carnarvon & Surrounds
One cannot stop off in Carnarvon without trying one of the Chocolate coated Bananas. If Choc coated Bananas aren't your go than I suggest a trip further north to the blow holes might just do the trick. If you happen to be around June through to November than grab a seat on the edge of the cliffs and watch the beauty of the humpback whales on their annual migration.
Cervantes & Surrounds
Just 245 kilomteres from Perth, Cervantes lies waiting for you to come and enjoy the tranquil and unspoiled waters of the Indian Ocean. Built on the back of the fishing industry the population of Cervantes nearly doubles in the crayfishing season.......and with the world famous Pinnacles nearby why would you NOT stop and rest a while on your journey through the Coral Coast.
Exmouth & Surrounds
Ningaloo Reef arguably more beautiful than Queensland's Great Barrier Reef the Ningaloo Reef is the Jewel in the Crown of Western Australia's Coral Coast. After a pleasant 2 days traveling (by road) you now get the opportunity to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the region and a unique experience to swim with Whale Sharks - the World's largest fish!
Geraldton
Driving further North you will come across a number of small townships before reaching Geraldton. Situated on the Batavia Coast and home (claimed) of the Abrohlos Islands, Geraldton offers an array of adventure for the young at heart, be it windsurfing, kite surfing, surfing, diving or swimming. Or if just relaxing and enjoying is more your pace then be sure to sample the delectable delights of the local Rock Lobster elegantly washed down with some of Geraldton's finest wineries.
Kalbarri & Surrounds
Ok........so now you have been on the road for almost a full day and you are starting to feel like it's definitely time to stop! Congratulations, there are not many better places to stop on the west coast than Kalbarri, nestled at the mouth of the Murchison River with an abundance of fish ready and queuing up to be the first on the line.
You can sit back and enjoy Mother Nature at her beautiful best enjoying the sunset while feasting on the days catch..........and if for some silly reason the fish were not biting then there are many great places to savour the freshest of seafoods.
Shark Bay
Back on the road and looking for something very special that will stay with you forever then Shark Bay has this and more! What better way to enjoy a visit to the region than to swim with the dolphins at beautiful Monkey Mia. The World Heritage listed Shark Bay region is approximately 870 kilometres from Perth and is well worth the long drive.
