Avon Valley

Dwellingup
The charming country town of Dwellingup is located an hour and a half drive south of Perth. Set among pristine jarrah forest and water catchment areas, Dwellingup offers nature at its best.
Almost obliterated by the 1961 bushfires, Dwellingup has become a year round destination for many visitors. The Visitor Centre has a great exhibition detailing the rise and fall of the mills towns in the area and, the destruction of the bushfire.
Enjoy your outdoor activities in the natural setting of the Lane Poole Reserve along the banks of the Murray River. See the Forest Heritage Centre with its three viewing towers looking through the canopy of the jarrah forest, or ride the timber route on the Hotham Valley Railway.
Fremantle
Whether you are visiting for the first time or a resident of Fremantle (Freo to the locals) the charm of Fremantle never ceases to amaze! Enjoy a coffee on Cappuccino strip, fish & chips at Fremantle Harbour, shopping at Fremantle Markets or E-Shed or for a refreshment on a hot summers day why not drop into one of the many world famous micro breweries.
Mandurah
Why not visit Mandurah and enjoy the year round hospitality of the locals. From the world famous Crab Festival in early March to cruising around the canals and watching the dolphins frolic in the wake of the boat Mandurah is sure to have something to please even the fussiest of people.
Commonly known as the gateway to the south west Mandurah is just over 70 kilometres from Perth, and is easily accessible by road or rail.
Mandurah is a buzz with large numbers of residents and visitors daily, although history reminds us this is nothing new. In fact, the name Mandurah was actually derived from the Aboriginal word, "mandjar", meaning the "meeting place".

Rockingham
Just a short drive or relaxing train ride from Perth, Rockingham offers a tranquil water playground for all types of water sports. Why not enjoy a swim with the dolphins . If water sports are not your preferred option there are a number of world class golf courses within easy driving distance.
Rottnest Island
Situated just 19 kilometres off the Western Australian coast Rottnest Island (Rotto to the locals) offers something for everyone. Swan Valley
One of Western Australia's treasures............only 25 minutes from Perth the Swan Valley is the oldest wine growing region in Western Australia. Coupled with restaurants, micro breweries, artifacts etc. The "Valley" is a "must do" on your things to see and do list.
